As we waited for the next Parish Priest, Rev. Fr. Patrick Jay Parce continued religious services as the Parish Administrator until November 2022. He actively called on the Parishioners to support the construction of some sections of the church building which he had accomplished.

About six months after the passing of Rev. Fr. Estrella, the Parish finally had its 3rd Parish Priest installed on November 27, 2022, in the name of Rev. Fr. Harold Funa. He was warmly welcomed by the Parishioners and he inspired everyone with his humility and grace. I may not have met him personally since I now live away from home, but I follow his ministry to the Parish through social media. His great personality appealed to everyone to become closer to the church and give the highest service to God.

In his nearly 2 years of service in the Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish Lomboy, he made several transformations in the way we live; our hope and faith in the Divine Power, love, and light.

I express my utmost respect and admiration for him for impacting our lives through his greatest accomplishments in such a brief period until his farewell in July 2024, as he embarked on his mission to another Church in a neighboring town.

Since 2012, I have seen the great transformation of the church; from Mission Station which was started by Rev. Fr. John Denosta until it became established as a Parish on January 13, 2018.

Today, the Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish - Lomboy proudly unveiled its transformed structure and appearance under the guidance of Rev. Fr. Funa who continues to lead the way in bringing about positive change. This magnificent church stands not only as a blessed home but also as a Divine sanctuary for religious and spiritual service for our faithful congregations of Parishioners.

Together, we are fostering a community of devoted religious servants and leaders who will guide our path to righteousness and spirituality. Rev. Fr. Funa taught us that through our acts of sharing, giving, and love, we uplift our lives; we help transform our community. And we remain steadfast in dedicating our utmost service to the Parish for the greater glory of God and his Divinity.

We will be forever grateful for what we have accomplished because of our shared commitment to our religious community. Our Parish Priests will be there to help build and strengthen the church and it's our religious responsibility to protect and uphold its glory.

We continue to pray for them and support their mission as they help us draw closer to God; find our purpose and live a meaningful life.

The Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish - Lomboy will persist in its transformation today and in the years to come, serving as an enduring symbol of love, a beacon of hope, a life of positivity, and a glorious Divine light.

As I celebrate the Lunar New Year of 2024, I have the desire to be fearless and feisty. I have to leave the energy of living in fear to unblock energies leading to success and prosperity.

This year's Lunar New Year is special as we celebrate the 50th Annual Lunar New Year Parade in Vancouver. Thousands of spectators participated and attended this colorful and festive event.

In Vancouver Chinatown, I can see and feel the cultural inclusion and integration. The event is celebrated by people coming from different cultures and diverse backgrounds. Everyone seems thrilled and excited whether it's their first Lunar New Year experience or a regular event spectator, everyone feels welcomed and blessed by a Deity or Supreme being.

It's the enthusiasm to feel connected to a culture that is unique and beautiful. It's the eagerness to learn and understand about a culture that's so strong and vibrant.

This year we welcome and celebrate the Wood Dragon. It's considered the luckiest of all the Chinese Animal signs. It brings the highest luck and prosperity in Chinese beliefs. This resonates with me as I believe in the power of a positive mindset to attract positive manifestations.

I've celebrated Lunar New Year through the years and I can attest to the power of manifestations to start the year right.

I've learned to integrate cultural beliefs that are not unknown to me. It gave me a sense of happiness to accept something new and believe in myself when they inspire positivity for those who believe.

My desire for this year is about the most valuable thing; to have the willpower to achieve my greatest desires and destiny. I believe that luck and prosperity happen when I fight what's unwanted and unleash the fire within to bring out the best in me.
