Making Golden Dreams come True

Dreams do come true. In times when we least expect it, life surprises us with a reward for the sacrifices, perseverance, hope, and faith.

When Hidilyn Diaz won a gold medal in the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, she brought a big surprise to the Filipino people. When what we usually hear is the not-so-good state of the nation, Hidilyn Diaz raised the bar to give us honor for bringing the first-ever Olympic gold medal for the Philippines.

We saw her dedication, fighting spirit, and willpower, and made us all proud that we Filipinos can achieve great things. We can make things happen if we believe in our self and have Faith.

Hidilyn Diaz did not quit. She waited for more than a decade to achieve her dreams not only for herself but also for the country. She may have experienced her worst setbacks and down moments, but she took it as a challenge to keep on fighting until the end.

Now, Hidilyn Diaz ended the longest waiting time for the Philippines to get that gold medal. It's not just an ordinary gold, but it's a symbol of our greatness. It's a symbol of deepest love for the country and reverence to the Filipino people.

Hidilyn Diaz is an inspiration to the Filipino people. We may not be fully supported from the start and may have been ridiculed for our deepest desires, but nothing could stop us from achieving our golden dreams.

So in this time of the pandemic, we may stop momentarily, but we keep the fire burnin' and make that dreams happen. It may not be our moment for now, but with perseverance and willpower we can surely win until it's our time and until we can make that golden dreams happen.

Surviving the Pandemic: Resilience and Hope

How resilient can we be when faced with tough challenges such as the pandemic?

Several stories of resilience and hope inspire us day by day for those who continue to face their greatest battle. It's when people have the fighting spirit and the will to live that makes them a survivor. They survive and thrive.

To be a survivor of this pandemic isn't about social and economic status. It's not about the healthiest body and the highest intelligence. To be a survivor is about our resilience to different struggles and miseries. It's about faith and hope amidst difficulty and sorrow.

When life presents a bitter taste of suffering, then no one is spared. We all share the same fears, doubts, and uncertainties. We share daily life struggles and negative emotions.

But until when shall we suffer? Until when shall we continue to fight? Until when shall we survive?

This pandemic makes us find time to ponder on our life. If we have limited time to live and survive, how can we live our best life? If we are going to die tomorrow, what are the good things we can do today?

The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly of the Pandemic

What's that one thing you ever regret not doing before the Pandemic hit?

Is it about all work and no play? No travels? Is it not having enough money? Is it about being cold and not being able to extend a hand and give a warm embrace?

What about your fitness goals? That dream job abroad? Or perhaps your dream house,
dream car and the dream wedding?

This pandemic brought chaos and bad energy into our lives. It has caused anxiety, fear, apathy, and grief. It killed our dreams and highest hopes. It made a lot of people hopeless and helpless. It made us believe that life is short and that life could suddenly be gone.

However, this pandemic isn't just about the negativity it brings. But it has also unleashed the best in us. It has tested our resilience and faith. It made us be more kind and understanding. It taught us the value of a good relationship. It has made us realize that money is not everything. And it helped us ponder on our existence and life purpose.

What's the ugly side and the bitter truth this pandemic brings? It's our inability to understand the nature of suffering. Our inability to prioritize what's essential versus what's unwanted. Our inability to see other's worth and even our worth.

The saddest truth is when the invisible enemy turns out to be our blind spots. Our inability to spot our weaknesses. Our inability to unleash our hidden powers and energy. That after all these years, we're still stuck with the false beliefs from our society and the influence of the majority.

The good, the bad, and the ugly are the taste of what we are and what we give out to this world. We may never know when this pandemic will end, but it's not the end yet to make a restart, to make a new beginning, and so we'll have a happy ending.

Journey to Self-care and Personal Development

Sometime in 2013, I met an old wise man in-home care in New Delhi. He is wise because of the great wisdom he had imparted me for about an hour of meaningful conversation. He is a sage; his intellect may be far beyond our consciousness, but one thing that makes him inferior at that particular time is that he was physically ill and not able to enjoy what a physically able-bodied person could do.

The volunteers together with the residents and Founder of Panchvati Elderly Care Home, Ms. Neelam Mohan in New Delhi on June 27, 2013.

From that precious conversation, what he offered me was his mental and spiritual consciousness and life experiences. That was one of the deepest conversations I ever had and I was so thankful that I have met someone like him. What an aha! moment and a blissful encounter.

So yes! Some people may have reached the level of "intelligentsia, a Saint or a Sage" which is a developed mental and spiritual level of consciousness, but some of them have failed in physical health. However some people may just be of average intelligence, but they are physically fit and enjoy what life can offer.

From that moment when I left the room of the wise man, I had a realization that it would be better to improve oneself and reached that level of consciousness just like him and at the same time physically well and so we can enjoy our greatest lives; living a fantastic life.

Just like those elderly residents that I have met on that home care, most of them had medicines for their health conditions. They used to become active in their younger years, but later on experienced some pains and sufferings on physical, mental, and emotional levels of health.

On that day where I have given a health talk and some practical exercises to the elderly residents in the home care, I felt their desire to bring back their physical health where some of them perhaps have regrets.

So here comes the importance of self-care, that no matter how much success we have attained in life, some will be bound for physical suffering as we age when we neglect some levels of health. For instance, we may be mentally healthy, but stress, anxiety, and fatigue led to illness and health imbalance.

Self-care is about doing some activities that promote health and wellness; those things sometimes we do not have much time and effort because we think we only have a limited time and we have to work harder, aspire for more to live more comfortably and successfully.

Self-care is about healing our wellbeing after a stressful day. It could also be healing our emotions when we feel sad or depressed. It is also about clearing our minds when troubled. It is uplifting our souls when we are lost and in the dark. So everything in life is a balancing act to be able to soar high. We need to achieve a balance in physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual health for complete wellbeing.

Thinking that self-care is a selfish act and expensive? That weekend treat in a spa and wellness center could be expensive, but there are things in life that are worthwhile for just a little expense.

That weekend travel getaway with your family or friends could lead to rejuvenation. Spending some time at the beach, river or lake is like breathing out your inner toxicities making you feeling lighter and calmer. Barefoot walking in the sand or river stones promotes earthing or grounding; feeling more attached to nature and earth. Nature is wonderful and spending some time on it cleanses our soul and revives our spirit.

In our travels, there are some things we could do. We can have some meditation and breathing exercises to relax and heal our body, mind, and soul. Have some pure thinking time while having your favorite cup of coffee or tea. A meaningful conversation with the family or friend. Do some strolling in the garden or nearby park. Appreciate historic sites, arts, and cultural heritage. Visit a church or chapel for a prayer or a mass.

Also, once in a while even a little thing relaxes our senses and can have some positive effect. A body massage, aromatherapy, music therapy, and journaling. You see? That completes a meaningful and soulful journey. That promotes balanced health in all levels: physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual. That is the essence of self-care! to bring back our holistic being.

As we get back to our home or at work, we feel renewed and whole again. However, self-care never ends. It is a lifestyle! It may be a struggle, but we need at least 8 hours of quality sleep. Eating foods with nutritional value. Having some "me time" to evaluate oneself. These self-care activities are essential for personal development.

At work, self-care must be practiced as we need to protect ourselves from physical, mental, and emotional exhaustion. It would be good to get away from toxic situations and from bad influences that can degrade our self-worth.

Self-care is doing little things that matter to keep our balance and in perfect health. We need to look into our own being first before we can extend our services to others. Greater service comes with a great self; a love of beingness and our own holiness.

The Pathway to Kindness

At any unexpected moment and wherever we may go, we may meet people who may either be a familiar face or totally a stranger to us. To travel far distances with fewer resources and feelings of emptiness, but relying on people's kindness.

Whether at home in the countryside or in the busy metropolis; the chilly mountain top or the ocean's summer breeze; in our homeland and even in the foreign land; we get to experience a different level of kindness from the people we meet on the road.

There are times when we feel the need for a soulful reflection in a different direction. Our desire to be alone, but lacks inspiration and motivation. There's a feeling of solitude and pity with some doubts and fears that nobody is there with us willing to sit and hear; to rescue and to care.

Along the way, some may reach their helping hand while some may walk away. Others may listen while others don't even care. It takes a little act of kindness to open their arms, to listen, and to embrace. The kind of person who is unknown to them, in the beginning, may become someone with a heart as endless as it seems.

Some cultures totally different from ours makes us seek kindness from their hearts. To be friends with them and to better know them. To plant a seed of kindness and to harvest gratitude with gladness.

In our travels some will challenge us, some will rob us, but there will always be someone who will teach us. To stand when we have fallen, to fight when we are frightened, to love and give hope from despair to gladness.

We take a different pathway on the road we choose. Sometimes we get lost but oftentimes have regained the cost. We may take a shortcut to reach the destination with ease and less stress. We may take the common and the known road. We may take the road less traveled and be the person who is most traveled.

All these experiences happen due to different people on the road, some that will hurt and some with a heart. We laugh, we cry, we jump and we try. A shoulder to lean on, a back to carry on, a cheek to kiss, and the memories that will be missed.

Kindness in our hearts will always be the pathway to fulfill our desires. An open heart, a big heart, and a great heart. That is you, not a stranger, but a lovely dear and a sweetheart.

The Road Ahead: Setting A Goal and Getting Started

Oftentimes it's hard to get things done when everything seem to be just a plan or a goal to be set in the future. Yes, there are times when we are preoccupied with thoughts that are about to happen in a distant future, but all we do it to keep on rehearsing until it becomes polished or perfect. However, no matter how refined our thoughts may be, nothing will happen with our goals if it's just a thoughtform without necessary action. For years, this has been the reality to most people who are dreamers; setting a goal, but not acting on it until everything is perfect. A certain perfection would mean no room for failure and everything must be smooth sailing.

Whether our intention is directed towards personal development; like for instance developing our self-esteem to finally quit the corporate job and become a freelance professional, such thing brings excitement though a vivid imagination. A dreamed reality is hard to distinguish from a real life achievement, though the latter is the most real and not just pure imagination. Just like a real dream when we thought that it happened already. The moment we wake up seems that it was real and not a dream state. A dejavu or whatever we call it, a dream will remain as a dream and an action will become a reality.

For some, learning to drive and owning a car is a dream. It's not just a luxury these days but a necessity in everyday living. Since a kid, we have been dreaming of driving a car even the most fancy one. Anyway, it's just a dream, but we never realized that it's the simple dream that can make it turn into a reality. Through perseverance, we have worked on this goal and there comes a time when we have achieved it. Owning our dream car has become a reality, and for others it's a fantasy, but that is now their reality. As a Sales Consultant, helping people acquire their dream car is my goal and once they have owned it and drive for the first time, it brings certain level of happiness and excitement to discover the road ahead. It's the imagination of reaching a desired destination that brings joy to self that no matter how tough the journey, still we have the courage to finish the trip.

Another thing is about the journey to entrepreneurship when some may have planted on their thoughts that someday, they'll  run their own business and  manage their own people who will help them achieve personal goals. It takes years of endless planning, but there's no action to start the process of owning it. It's not merely based on fear alone; it's not about lack of knowledge, but it's about the lack of courage and perseverance. How about pursuing post-graduate studies? Do you aspire to get ahead in a corporate world? That's just 2 yrs and you'll have an advanced degree deserved to get promoted and eventually raise in salary. So many dreamed realities that will remain to be a state of inertia unless acted through force. That's a law and the universe tell you otherwise.

Even simple goals have remained as a thoughtform. Is it the goal to achieve physical fitness? Going to the gym and getting rid of some unwanted cellulites? How about hiking and mountain climbing? Was it last year that you have promised to climb a mountain before the year ends? what happened? Simple goals yet so hard to start. I may be like that or you may be like that in some ways. That's my story and you have your own story to tell. It's a popular quotation I always remember that "The best thing to get ahead is to get started" and that must be true. It gives us the courage to make a brand new start. Not to live based on fear and anxiety, but living a life of power and mighty.

So when is the right time for it to happen? in the future? when exactly? well, there's to perfect time, but to act now. I've written something about The Power of Now: Being Aware and Present and it about the present awareness and consciousness of events that are relevant in our lives. Similar to our goals, we have to stop on chasing perfection but rather to enjoy the journey along the way and correct things as it goes... the journey goes on and setting a goal is just a single step, but getting started is when we get ahead in life beyond our wildest dreams and aspirations.

The Power of Now: Being Aware and Present

Living in a fast-paced world as we are now is like a marathon; a race with an uncertain outcome. People are always in a hurry, but end up arriving late at the destination. Along the way, we bumped with each other in an attempt to get ahead. There's a lot of shouting, screaming, or even crying. No matter how hard it seems to be, still, a determined soul can conquer obstacles and overcome defeat. There's no way to quit, but to continue the race towards the peak.

Unhurried life isn't a thing nowadays even in a rural village. We are all connected by the power of technology and we seem to get the latest information in real-time, at the particular moment, and as needed. Through an upgrade in transportation and communication, everything is quick and instant; as fast as teleportation if it's real. Getting towards a destination excites us and the journey becomes a cherished expedition.

Years ago, life isn't that complicated and people enjoy much in the present moment of their lives. As compared to the present time, most people are living in their past when they can't leave their worries behind. Others may be living in an uncertain future and become anxious about what lies ahead. That's life! truly complicated.  Whatever comes in the head are noises that are unfiltered coming from different sources and even our own prejudice.

Living in the past and in the future is inevitable. When the mind wanders means lack of focus and awareness of the present; not truly conscious -- not being aware. A complicated living of being not present at the moment has its consequences. We become distracted and less productive. Our worries, fears, uncertainties are enemies to productivity and consciousness. Though it is a result of previous traumatic experiences, we are still in control and have the power to bring back to a normal state of being; where we enjoy the present moment and truly living.

As we go through the next level of spiritual existence, we learn to ignore or filter those noises that will not benefit our being. We become alert and more focused on what we are doing and the result is fascinating  a stress-free living.

Being present and aware at the same time is a gift to ourselves or to someone dear to us. When we are aware and conscious of someone's presence, they feel being accepted and loved by us. However, when we ignore their presence, they will feel neglected, abandoned, and uncared for; that's miserable and unacceptable.

But in today's world, there's another side of the story, we oftentimes focus on our own; our personal intention and goals to achieve. We go on our own without validation from others. That's consciousness from the personal level. We go for healing when our soul finds its peace and beingness.

The power of now is so powerful that we experience and practice mindfulness. We do not allow a mind that wanders, but we focus our intentions back to our present reality. We choose to be peaceful and live a stress-free life leading to our health and wellbeing. The power of now is a spiritual gift to the people that surround us. When we are at peace with ourselves, we are present in our dealing with people no matter what happens and we deal with life peacefully as it happens. That's the power of presence and awareness  the power of now!

The Crossroads: Hope in Uncertain Times

Everyday is a journey that we battle. From the road we choose to take and the destination we expect to arrive. Along the way are different noises not only from the physical environment, but also from ones' own mind — the noise from our thoughts. These noises either distract or enable us to give more focus to the filtered thoughts; the good ones creating more fulfillment on that very moment. When travelling a distant mile seem uncomfortable and inconvenient to others; some would feel the opposite thoughts and emotions. Though feeling uncomfortable at times, it is the chaos that sometimes we unleash the power within  our emotional desires from powerful thoughts and intentions.

That little discomfort is nothing but a struggle and challenges to fight and learn to overcome. When we are overwhelmed with negativity around, we suddenly choose the way to respond. To ignore is never the ultimate way to escape, but to face it with fierceness and boldest intentions to hit it and see the path with the clearest view. The obstacles give us a viewpoint to surrender or to take a deeper breath giving us clarity of mind and rightful decisions. Back to the times when there was a little physical discomfort in a long journey, is an uncertainty of what lies ahead. However, the excitement and a good conversation gave a meaning despite the uncertainty. It is when we are not on our best self when we learn to find balance and soulful healing to others and to oneself. Then we feel some relief and healing from within.

In an uncertain moment, we may feel disheartened of conflicts in relationships. It may be brought by fears and pains from the past and worries of the future. We can't escape from our own negativity affecting us so deeply, but giving it out on others to have a share of discomfort and misery creates undesired energy pulling us down. When one is in conflict from inside, others would absorb that emotional disturbance giving stress and anxiety. That's terribly a draining energy! No matter how we try to shield ourselves, it would still penetrate on the deepest soul level. Shielding from negativity won't give a lasting solution, but to pay attention to the cause and healing past life struggles and miseries surely will.

The road ahead: Dealing With Life's Uncertainties is an audit of previous life experience of hope in uncertain times. When false hope gives a false perception of reality, then a genuine hope is giving clarity and ultimate fulfillment of a soulful journey transforming your reality and eradicating fear and uncertainty. The powerful force of self-awareness activates positive hopes and dreams that ignites ones' life purpose — our heart's desire. That's the highest hope we can give to ourselves that will benefit the greater good. As we follow different path in life, the inner compass still ignites and guides all the way out even in the most uncertain moment and in the most unexpected time.

The Circle of Life: Turning Back Time

Time travel seem to be impossible in a world that is preoccupied with the present and future living. What life may seem to be in ten or fifteen years or even beyond? What's the plan I will execute today that will change the compass of life? Clueless of what's going on enables one to reminisce and daydream forward. Going back or beyond the present time gives a glimpse of a meaningful journey of existence. When life's ups and downs knock you out is not a punitive reaction, but to awaken from a deep slumber of an impossible dream or maybe a worst nightmare.

A 'big bang' once change my life that's like a poke on the head. That was intense and painful beyond the physical level -- that was a different spiritual awakening ever! I couldn't resist, but to follow the inner compass -- a trusted barometer of life's goal and a future self. As I was saved from fiery place is a great redirection like an instant decision without a doubt. The 'big bang' that saved me no matter how painful it has been, may also be the 'big bang' that will help transform others in their own ways; wise decisions without guilt and bold actions that is mighty. No matter what life hits us, always depend on how we react and accept that we are vulnerable to untoward decisions resulting from faulty thoughts.

Going back in time, one has realized his potential and lived his greatest life because of right choices; no blockages along the way. As smooth as it flows, life has moved as fast and furious like there's no way of turning back. It was the best way of reaching ahead as fast as possible -- no distractions and defying limitations. Reaching the peak has some valleys that are tricky to navigate. Lost along the way may be challenging, but regaining oneself gave a hard-hit lesson not really to follow 'fast but sure' policy, but ones' own pace of living.

Back to the days when life seems rough gives courage to become braver to live in the present time. This is the  moment in time that is more realistic giving less stress than dwelling on the past and a future dream that is overwhelming. As I turn back time, it creates either wonderful or sorrowful memories that may be carried over a merit to the present and the future. The past may be ignored, however it could be the key to understanding the present reality. Having been somewhere doesn't mean the end of further exploration of what more it has to offer. One has to come back numerous times and enjoy a different perspective of living.

The circle of life is an amazing journey of giving in and giving up. Giving in to right thinking and decisions and giving up to unwanted thoughts and impulsive actions. By turning back time, I recall the good and the bad days where I learned and persevered. Keeping the challenge helps to correct and improve the knots; when untangled becomes a linear direction one has to go through. Reliving memories creates a nostalgic experience and it is in those times that we learn to grow and become better than ever. The circle of life is wonderful and the experience of turning back time is even meaningful and blissful not only in the present, but for a lifetime.

Heart's Desire: Living A Humanitarian Life

This day marks the beginning of a new journey to life; the start of a soulful experience of a higher self beyond the physical realm of existence. This day also marks the re-discovery of true self beyond ego and lower emotions. When the lost soul wanders, it surely will find its place to regain self and follow the guiding light.

The lost chapters may be out of sight, however those darkest moments find a way to escape leading to a brighter and fulfilling journey. Through a deeper self-reflection, one has to find the right path and live with its soul purpose -- the so-called dharma.

The darkest moments in life are the unheard hopes and aspirations; the endless sufferings and blockages towards living a better life. Being redirected on a long tunnel is to experience the reality of the negative side of the physical world. To experience not just the good but also the unfavorable things beyond personal control. To be human is to experience suffering. Learn from it and continue to seek for the answer; find the truth and be the guiding light to those who wander. When you've been there, it will be easy to relate to the suffering one is dealing with and you become a master of your life -- your thoughts and emotions.

Those years when I started to discover another dimension of life, was a great spiritual experience and of personal transformation. It wasn't easy at the beginning. You have to undergo self-restraint and sense of control in thoughts and emotions. It was only then, lower emotions are defeated through enlightenment of the nature of man's suffering -- an endless suffering.

The initiation towards the path brought significant change not only to self but to a greater world. Being called to serve humanity and the world revealed the spiritual powers vested on me and it became a way of living.  Understanding the nature of  humanity requires certain values one must learn to live.  It was then I've learned to unleash love and compassion  that is innate and the core of our being. I couldn't have given it to people without deeper understanding and loving of my self. I have loved myself and had given it away.

Truly, humanitarian service is the greatest expression of love and compassion. To regain myself is to continue the lost journey. It will be a challenging task, but hopefully will be a rewarding journey ahead. Following Our Heart's Desire serves as a guide to live one's purpose and for me, service to humanity through education and personal development is the path -- the soul purpose to live and master not only today, but for a lifetime.

Evolution of The Mind: Path Towards Right Consciousness

I was in my mid-20s when I decided to live a different path of human consciousness. It's not an ordinary life where freedom is absolute, but it was a life full of challenges and sacrifices. At first, it was not so easy until I have discovered my capabilities and unique qualities that are beyond the limits.

I struggled... I endured the pain and I persevered the uncertainties that come my way. During those times I have pondered on the meaning of my existence and my role in service to humanity and the world.

I am blessed with being born from a loving and supportive family. My parents have raised us well and able to send us to a good school to get the right education that eventually gave us a comfortable life. My parents valued the education of their children more than what they have accomplished. For them education is an opportunity to succeed in life; although it may not be a guarantee, still they pushed us to get the education that we wanted.

I graduated with a bachelor's degree in nursing and became a registered nurse. Back then, I was fully supported by my family for what I would become -- to live my life as a nurse. Perhaps I would have become a bedside nurse abroad and live a more comfortable life just like other Filipino nurses that are enjoying the greener pasture. But those were just a missed opportunity and a fantasy to my vivid imaginations. I did not become a  nurse and I remain to live in my country. It was a failure since the goal was not hit and it diverted my attention to other things that can satisfy my senses and provoke my creative imagination. I started to think and asked questions about the future. What do I want? What will I become?  I needed a rescue out of the blue. Clueless about the future, I couldn't think but act like a happy-go-lucky; no destination ... nothing to see. It was dark and I needed a guiding light.

The Mid 20s is when I started to rewire my inner dialogue. Connecting the missing link helped me to regain my life for the greater opportunity. That was the time I entered an ashram. A school of initiation for higher consciousness. I developed some intelligence that is not attained by ordinary people not devoted to the spiritual journey. It was in the ashram that I learned to become a trainer and a public speaker. I decided to improve my skills both intrapersonal and interpersonal and it led to a magical journey -- I couldn't believe the things that I am capable of doing. I envision being the best version of myself, upgraded my skills and learned to decipher reality from obsolete beliefs. The learning was truly indispensable and that made me who I am today -- renewed and transformed.

To evolve in consciousness is to change self-limiting beliefs and habits that don't give meaning to higher existence -- universal service through spirituality. I meditated, chanted, and used a special mantra to achieve a sense of contentment and bliss. It changed my personality and reached a certain level of maturity through service. It was then I have learned to appreciate the tagline "Live Your Greatest Life." I thought living a good life is just enough, but then to live one's life to the fullest is more meaningful and substantial -- truly a spiritual bliss. Then, going beyond esoteric practice is "Serving Humanity and The World." It was the ultimate realization and fulfillment of my goals. I discovered to unleash my hidden potentials and increased my self-worth. I became firm with my philosophies and elevated my personality to connect with stronger souls. If I didn't, then I wouldn't survive from the start. My inner compass would have directed me towards the path.

I traveled and lived in India for more than a year and reached out to different groups. I became one with the people. I dressed up and maybe started to sound like them too. I met various groups; from the elite families and well-known personalities down to the grassroots level of the society. The experience gave me serenity and sense of purpose. I gained wisdom from eastern philosophies with an integration of western practicality and that contributed to confidence in exoteric teachings. In India, I taught different subjects that are mostly of spiritual origin. It was very fulfilling and memorable. My greatest achievement would have been the construction of the "Third Eye" which is spiritually guided. It was then I felt the Divine guidance that intervened in my being.

I feel empowered and did extraordinary things. My life back then may not be a common path to some, but being enlightened to some degree gave me a better perspective about the kind of life that one must live. Service to humanity is truly a benchmark of man's existence. Service to improve their lives and for them to search for a brighter meaning of their so-called 'dharma' or soul purpose.

It was in India that I became a master of my own thinking. I challenge my own self based on my choices and persuade others for what they believe in that's not aligned with the universal truth revealed in the ashram.

How could I thrive years of service when I started to bring back my old self? I strive to become better, yet couldn't see the light. Perhaps I challenged myself, even more, then I realize that service to humanity is everywhere; in the community where we live or in a place where lives have brought us. Wherever we go is the place to leave a legacy. Maybe unknown to many, but popular to those whom we have touched lives. Our own 'dharma' is the legacy that is inherent to us. We may be wrong with our choices at times, but we can always choose to regain ourselves and become wiser and live a better life. We have been ridiculed, but our principles could help us to hit our target. There may be times when we no longer tune in to lower vibrations, yet we thrive to live an extraordinary life just like the old days -- deeper soul connection.

Now that everything has changed, I am still evolving towards the right path. I am still uncertain about the future, but with the evolution and integration of Divine energies, nothing can be greater than our renewed self. We continue to develop and we keep the spark to give some illumination to others.

Our evolution will be for a lifetime and when the time comes that we need to look back to assess our old versions, then we can say that 'I did my best and now the path that I am taking is the path towards the right consciousness -- not from a selected group, but a universal consciousness that everyone deserves.

New Year 2017: A Hopeful Journey

"Starting the year right would mean doing what I believe would truly work based on previous experiences. Doing the right thing with the right mindset, and set of virtues and spiritual beliefs are essential to living."

The year 2016 has ended with endearing challenges. Some setbacks created emotional struggle and solitude. Though it was not totally a pleasant year, still I remained to be optimistic and in control of my own reality and destiny. A few years ago, in 2009, I started believing in the power of the 'Law of Attraction,' which attracts magical experience and magnificent results in my life. I've manifested some thought forms and it's a very powerful tool to use when being hopeful of your fate and destiny. Since then, a manifestation of dreams and desires have been easy. I couldn't imagine at first how I have achieved such tremendous energy that has changed my life. I am a living reality of 'you are what you think and I have made things possible -- through the power of the Law of attraction.

This 2017, nothing has changed with my beliefs on the power of this universe. Law of attraction will still be my guide about wonderful living; just like spiritual or religious beliefs that I have for years. Not all of our desires were made possible, however with deeper faith and perseverance, it will be achieved in due time and in God's perfect time.

The law of universal timing is what I have learned a few years back and it has brought a powerful effect on our lives. It served as our guide in business, career, and life.

Starting the year right would mean doing what I believe would truly work based on previous experiences. Doing the right thing with the right mindset, and set of virtues and spiritual beliefs are essential to living. The goals that I would set for this year are the thoughts that I may have for years that have not manifested yet, but still trusting that the universe will conspire to make it a reality. I believe that we are destined to achieve everlasting happiness and bliss and capable of becoming a blessing to others in some ways within or beyond our capacity.

Mysterious energy would surround and guide our being to renew and relive a meaningful existence. We are bestowed with great powers to manifest our dreams and goals, and this year will be a journey towards challenging tasks ahead and a rewarding fate and destinations our heart desires.

This year 2017 is about being hopeful of the unimaginable things. I still believe in magic. That's an awesome experience worth achieving. I trust that I will be guided internally by my will and instincts of what is right and wrong and lead a better life that is away from distractions, false beliefs, and bad luck. To myself, my family, relatives, and everyone close to my heart are what I desire to be shielded by a defense of stronger energy.

A balanced living, free from harm and full of optimism would dispel the negative energy of manifestation. Balanced health at all levels and an affluent disposition if God would allow is an ultimate dream.  The list would be longer and to acquire it all requires great energy. I believe that a great year is not about the winning moments, but the power to stand every time we fall. The battle continues and a wonderful journey lies not only on a strong will but a grateful heart and a powerful spirit.

Christmas in Our Hearts 2016: Breakthrough to Success

"The achievement of my cherished goals and dreams is always a 'breakthrough to success' that I must cultivate. The year will always end with a brighter hope and aspirations in our hearts for a great year and the year ahead."

This is the season of loving and caring. The time when we are full of emotions; the time when we are more compassionate to each and everyone who matters in our lives. We give and receive something and we feel good about it. We feel the spirit of Christmas-- the most wonderful time of the year. Whenever the Christmas season comes, it excites us and makes us fully alive. There's greater energy everywhere and there's a feeling of abundance. These feelings create a wonderful memory that lasts for a lifetime.

Christmas is a wonderful season and it gives us a magical experience that's completely different from the ordinary months that have passed. I remember memories whenever I play and listen to Christmas instrumentals; the relaxing music of the piano and the romantic sound of the saxophone. Christmas is truly in the air. It gives a flashback of wonderful past and gives hope to the unknown future. As I quietly lay down on the bed, I close my eyes and reminisce the wonderful time that I've experienced. From the past and up to the present time, I recall the ups and downs that brought laughter and tears. The memories that wouldn't just fade away, but remain in my heart forever.

Christmas is a joyful season that brings hope for those who are empty; those who are lacking and abandoned. When this time comes, we hear the children singing Christmas carols. They may not be feeling empty, but they are hopeful to be given a part of what we have. We give them a part of our success. Though not that much, still it remains memorable to them and they take gratitude for that simple way of giving. Singing Christmas carols in the neighborhood was truly a memorable experience when we were kids.

Aside from exercising our vocal powers, we enjoy the little money that we receive. The happiness is real and the excitement is unstoppable. I know how these kids feel when they receive something from every house that they sing a carol. That's an early practice of the virtue of gratitude. It's something that we must learn to value and practice. It brings more blessings and abundance. The more grateful we are, the more fulfilled we'll become. We don't feel empty, but we feel that we always have enough.

Christmas is a time of spiritual reflection. The year is about to end and we affirm our goals; our desires that we have accomplished; the directions we have taken and the destination we have finally arrived at. A successful year doesn't mean being a winner in everything and all throughout. There are times we feel defeated, unsure and misguided. However, those emotions are just part of winning. To lose for a moment doesn't define the year-end success; it doesn't predict the success of the next year and it doesn't lead to demotivation and lack of meaning. Hence, it reminds us to renew our lives and make a greater sacrifice for goals to achieve beyond the limits. This Christmas is to celebrate success; achievements that contribute to personal development. Whenever I reflect on what I've fully achieved, it gives a sense of fulfillment -- a blissful spirit.

The Past year has been a meaningful celebration. Christmas in Our Hearts 2015 brought us together with joy in our hearts. Since 2011, I've written Christmas in Our Hearts to reflect on the joyous season together with my family. When we're bonded together, we anticipate a better year ahead of us. We are together in our hopes and aspirations for a bountiful new year; full of blessings and mercy from God. This year 2016 is another milestone of a wonderful journey. I've been taken to a place closer to home. A journey on the road full of hopes and plans for personal development. A destination where everything ends happily; feeling love and compassion.

Christmas 2016 is a simple yet meaningful celebration. The weather may not be favorable, but the rhythm goes on an unstoppable; music in a Christmas melody, and kids enjoy dancing in a Zumba beat. Celebrating "Misa de Gallo" commemorates the birth of Christ; the source of our Divine inspiration and power. This is followed by the traditional "Noche Buena" as thanksgiving.

Christmas is always in our hearts and we hope for the best thing to come. More blessings and abundance and everlasting grace and loving mercy of God. This year 2016 gave me a great life lesson. To live a life full of gratitude and a more positive spirit. These lessons I hope will be carried on the next year 2017. I am hoping for the best to come for myself, my family, and everyone who truly matters. The achievement of my cherished goals and dreams is always a 'breakthrough to success' that I must cultivate. The year will always end with a brighter hope and aspirations in our hearts for a great year and the year ahead.

Heart's Desire: Living A Fantastic Life

There are times when life gives us a sweet taste of beautiful experiences.Oftentimes, life may also give a bitter taste of painful memories. However, we reminisce both the sweetness and bitterness that haunts us; our thoughts and emotions that will either make or break us.

When tough time comes, we challenge ourselves to overcome it. We are creating an emotional shield as a protective defense not to become broken; but to shed the light of love to ourselves and to others. We activate the internal light to guide us when we are lost and to be redirected towards the path of righteousness.

Our memories are a collection of beautiful experiences that will uplift us when things aren't right. Whereas, our miseries can teach us to become tough when we are halfway through... but a fading light. We are crafted by our imagination and desires that can spark greater force of illumined self for the greater good and a better life.

Today, we are are directing our self based on the principles we inherit. We go on when we are certain and without hesitation; we pause for awhile and ponder when it seem to be doubtful. We continue to seek validation despite of fully knowing ourselves, "are we good enough or is it just enough?"

As we continue the journey, we are "Following Our Heart's Desire" and we are molded through life's hopelessness and challenges; turning miseries to bliss. The peak of temporary happiness is when we surpass the valley of tears; a cycle of life that is never-ending; always temporary but have a joyous end.

Our destiny is always unknown to us. However, a Divinely-inspired being will arise in us, sharing a light of hope to some and enlightenment to many... only then it is rightful to live in comfort and living  a charming life we deserve to be.

Stars of the Galaxy: Reliving the Magical Moments

Sometimes in our lives, we reminisce wonderful moments that once have made us feel good about ourselves. We enjoyed those moments that have captivated our imaginations and desires. We cherished the times when we feel ignited by our passion and aspirations. We feel great about ourselves and we strive to show our best self.

Today, we live and create our own reality; our version of life that guides our destiny. It's not just a dream, but to rekindle moments that will launch us to our destination -- our future success. We create a roadmap to guide us along the way; not to be overwhelmed by circumstances, but to regain ourselves when we brave the stormy seas.

Our journey to success would always depend on how much power we unleash in ourselves. Once the untapped energy is activated, it will be ever-ready to launch us to something unimaginable. You may not believe it at first, but those dreams and desires are becoming closer to reality -- your magical journey.

Oftentimes, we meet uncontrollable circumstances to challenge us; to make or break; to test... Our unwavering faith would build a solid rock; to strengthen the core. And when the rough time comes, our best defense would be on hand; fierce and mighty, ready to knock out and bounce back to reality.

On the way to the peak are hills and valleys that often get unnoticed to many; with disregard to the hidden struggles and dreaded misery. Others see the hollowness that breaks easily, though the barrier is still unbreakable to set you free -- you become a winner and will always be.

Our commitment to excellence is like a bow and arrow. It will uplift our standards and eventually prove our worth, not to others, but to ourselves. Whereas, our goal to hit the target is like a compass. It will guide us towards the right path. We might get lost, but we can be sure to regain our life and follow the guiding light.

Moving Forward and Awakening the Power Within

If you have a talent and ability in something, you must learn to share it for others to emulate and be inspired by your ways. Inherent talent can launch you into something maybe in the distant future if you just realize your potential and the awakened power of your soul.

In the society where we live, how many have real talents and skills to offer and contribute to the betterment of the people? who has the capacity to speak up and start the real change? We may have a lot of potential talents including you.

In a material world where there is greed and lust for money, people start to lose trust in some of our leaders who are entrusted to deliver basic needs and services. Someone must arise to offer help to the people and you can do your share by tapping into your own powers. Just like what Mother Teresa of Kolkata once said that we should not just wait for leaders, but we can do it on our own person to person.

You will notice that our societies are becoming sick and it needs to be healed from issues of corruption, conflicts, wars between countries, and even the calamities that the world experiences; natural or man-made. We have experienced lots of catastrophes as a result of global warming; droughts resulting in famine, strong typhoons/ hurricanes that strike at any time and any place are becoming common occurrence through the years.

There is still a chance to renew and start to build up to something good. If the foundation seems to be weak, this is the time to correct it and build a stronger one. We have been stuck for a long time due to our psychological traumas and insecurities; we dealt with fears and phobias that could be real enough for us not to move forward.

We are all suffering from the ill-effects of our own actions and there is a destruction phase for us to realize our faults and begin a life that is wiser and having a sense of satisfaction and gratitude.

Life purpose: why on earth are you here for

Back to our real-life purpose, it is not to achieve personal satisfaction alone or your deepest desires, but it is your commitment to serve with your big heart and good intentions. Whatever profession and passion you may have, it does serve your dharma or life purpose and you can even go beyond by reaching and touching their hearts to a higher level.

When you start to become closer to people who are in need of help, you will realize the goodness of your soul and the greatness of your spirit to bring significant change to society. Reaching out to people is a good way of uplifting their conditions and it will create a ripple effect of goodwill as they start to stand up on their own and begin the transformation in their lives.

I have A Dream

When I want something, I ask for it. This is a fundamental law of life; we attract things that we give too much attention to. When we think of something and go into a much deeper state of consciousness, we are becoming closer to make it a reality. It is magical for some, but the experience is truly wonderful and real.
Perhaps one of the things that fascinate me from the past until the present time is when I get things that once I have just imagined. It is a daydream; hence, it is fiction. However, everything in life starts with a single wish, our so-called desire for something. We become what we think of ourselves, and we get to experience the reality of once a creative imagination.
In my past journey, I have met people who have challenged my life's perspective. I could go deeper in life but received criticism for not having experienced what life truly is and not wise enough like an experienced adult.
The fact that I am young and who may not have attained certain level of maturity in life, I could say that people no matter how young they are, have inherent capability of knowing what life is about only if we are reflecting on ourselves; our ideals and philosophies. We learn each day not much, from what we already know, but from the mistakes that we have done. It is through imperfections that we challenge to become a better version of ourselves. We strive hard to make things right despite the wrongful deeds and decisions committed.

I may be young, but I have the capacity to influence people in my own ways based on what I believe is right and what I think is good for them. In a not-so-distant past, I have met wonderful people who were in trouble, and a simple understanding and philosophy of why such misery could happen in life guided them. I have not learned counseling subject in school back then, I learned it in real life as I encounter several circumstances that I could turn into wisdom.
Yes, I have a dream; it was a simple dream of inspiring people to live a fulfilling life, and now it comes closer to reality. Through motivational speaking, certain emotions can touch people. It is not just intellect, but also a heart that feels that connects people together.
Previously, I received advice to be careful of what I wish for, and I must agree to that since I have my limitations. I know for myself when to stop and to persevere. I listen for my instinct that guides me of what is right and wrong and again that is common to everyone.
In our lives, we listen to different voices that could inspire or harm us. Nevertheless, we have the inner voices that always direct us towards the right path in life. We cannot be certain of what lies ahead in life, but one thing is for sure, that we believe in ourselves no matter what voices we are hearing.
Looking back on my previous life, I am still young and I still have wishes, and this soon will come true because I have proven it now. I was there before and it was a fantasy, now I am here and living my own reality.

There is Certain Holiness in You

"It takes courage, perseverance, and sacrifice for life to become a saint and it takes the purity of the heart and Godly actions to become holy. You will neither become a saint nor holy. As long as you follow your life's purpose in good ways, you may not become a saint, but you are closer to becoming holy. "

What does it take to become a saint? How can you become holy? In today's modern era, people have experienced a drastic change in their way of living. To live is becoming more comfortable and convenient with the advent of rapid technological advancement. In some ways, this could mean progress and the other way could be destruction--the good and the bad effects of what life has to offer.

Advanced civilization has changed how people think and act. It has changed certain behaviors and values that were once good in nature. People have been so cruel, mean, and greedy. Understanding became confusion; peace turned into war; openness became selfishness and love turned into hatred.

However, no matter how bad people will become, there's certain goodness that is left in his heart. People sometimes are tough, yet gentle. Some could be mean, yet straightforward. Others could be cruel, yet compassionate. There is certain goodness hidden in whatever dark side that people carry.

Everything that happens can be understood better if you know both the bad and the good. Sometimes, you need to experience how it feels like to become bad so you appreciate the goodness in others. You need to do bad things to gauge how good you truly become. It is only then you distinguish which is better--the bad or the good.

We are commanded to do things by what is good and avoid the bad ones. But the world we live in may be full of negativity that will test our faith. Some invisible forces will challenge you to your limits. It may be hard to escape, but to take it and live it.

Is it possible for bad people to become holy in the end? Is holiness only for the good ones? Can you become a saint if you've committed terrible bad deeds? Well, why not? biblical history would tell that the famous saints that we venerate today are once a sinner. They may have been so cruel and unloving in their past, yet they have made a great change and transformations in their lives. They had the power to change who they are and in the latter part of their lives became holy. They mastered the purity of their heart and spiritual service. In the end, the goodness in them prevailed.

Just like us, we can't be good all the time. It is human nature to commit mistakes and become bad once in a while. There is no such thing as an absolute human being, but only a divine being does have. Even the newly canonized saints did not live their lives in absolute good. They have been bad even before they attained the ultimate realization of spiritual enlightenment.

There is no need to worry if you became bad as long as you did your best to change yourself for the better. Your life is not your past. Your past does not define your future. Your future will depend on what you do to the present.

Not everyone will become a saint since it is only for the chosen ones. No matter what good things you've done to humanity, there is no assurance that you will become a canonized saint. There is certain holiness in your being. Your goal is not to become a saint, but to live a kind of life that is Christ-like.

It takes courage, perseverance, and sacrifices for life to become a saint and it takes the purity of the heart and Godly actions to become holy. You will neither become a saint nor holy. As long as you follow your life's purpose in good ways, you may not become a saint, but you may be closer to becoming holy.

Perseverance in Times of Despair

"In moments of despair, you must never lose hope. When feeling down, there is a reason to rise up. When feeling lost, there is always a chance to win. Dare to persevere and accept everything as it happens. Dare to survive and live a better and fulfilling life."

Winning in life is not all about the achievement of your highest hope and aspiration. It is about the challenges that you have to go through before you reach the peak of success. Sometimes, you are on the crossroads of finding the right path and choices. However, when things go differently than what you expect, you may lose hope and feel uninspired to move forward.

Failure is part of winning if you view it with optimism. To persevere and learn from mistakes is a challenge to make you become a better person. Nevertheless, absence of inspiration could lead to hopelessness; but enthusiasm drives you with energy to keep on fighting.

Despair could happen in the absence of inspiration. In hopeless situations, you are not giving a chance for the right opportunity to come, resulting to desperate actions, that may turn into regrets and suffering.

Life may present challenges to be accepted and not to take something for granted. What you have gone through in life have a great impact on your self-esteem. All experiences teach you a certain lesson: to overcome weakness and to develop strength.

Unfortunately, despair is something that is surprising. You must have faith that everything has a purpose and meaning. If you persist, you will reap a fulfilling reward thereafter.

Being desperate towards uncertainties will only lead to pessimism. It will result to another problem or failure if not acted upon in a right way. Thus, there may be no other way to control of what may happen in life, but there is a way to wholeheartedly accept it.

Overcoming the challenges is a lifelong undertaking. It never stops and gives us the chance to become stronger and better. There is no reason to quit, but a chance to revive; because challenges may continue to strike until lessons are learned.

You must never lose hope in moments of despair. When feeling down, there is a reason to rise up; and when feeling lost, there is always a chance to win. Dare to persevere and accept everything as it happens. Dare to survive and live a better and fulfilling life.

A Sparkling Life of Generosity

"We give light to those who are in the darkness; we give a light to those who are lost... and like a   light, we can live a sparkling life of generosity."

Blessings come in our lives at any moment and circumstance. There are times when it comes unexpectedly when we are already in our deepest despair, and lose hope to what we are praying for. Sometimes, we interpret blessings as God's way of letting us know that we are being heard for what we are wishing and aspiring.

In our lives we have received numerous blessing that's an answer to our prayers. We have asked for it and now it has been granted. Whatever we enjoy are first conceived in our mind that now becomes a reality. We have it because of our faith and firm belief that we will achieve our highest desires.  Everything that we are enjoying at the moment is the result of our 'wishful thinking' or imagination because we are a product of our mind's incredible power. If we think about something and put our greatest concentration, affirmation and action, then chances are we will get our wishes to come true.

In life, we don't only receive graces, but we have to give back in return. If we have been successful of our desires, then we have to share the positive energy to make our lives meaningful. I believe that in today's world, it should be a two-way process of giving and receiving to make it more balanced and fair.

Those who are well-off and financially capable have a social responsibility. They can give their share through philanthropy. Hence, in the corporate world, they must do their corporate responsibilities of giving a part of what they have earned. People who are less fortunate also deserve some blessings. Some people would be living a life of discomfort and misery and their hopelessness makes them to feel that life is not worth living.

I believe that it is in giving that we feel happy and contented. Giving something would mean we have enough. Giving away shows we care. Giving wholeheartedly without expecting something in return; that is generosity.

Generosity is a good quality that we must practice. Even our little contribution makes us feel whole and having a sense of purpose. However, generosity comes in various ways and has its limitations;

We are loved and we give love in return. No matter what happens our family would be there to support us in all our aspirations. They provide comfort and guidance in our way of living. When we are having separate lives, we must not forget our family ties and still be generous to give back our love and care and time.

We can be generous by sharing our knowledge and expertise and our resources. It is a good feeling to become part of building up a better and responsible society. What we do to our society will get back on us by providing a safer, active and purposeful society.

It is good to give thanks with a grateful heart. Everything that we have is a blessing from the Divine and it is borrowed for a limited time. The generosity that we do is a reflection of an 'open and big heart' and such is an act of being spiritually connected towards our purpose.

We give light to someone and to our environment through simple means of giving; we give light to those who are in the darkness; we give a light to those who are lost... and like a light, we can live a sparkling life of generosity.
