Wellness and Balanced Life Strategies at the MDP Village

Fitness and wellness. That's our goal to achieve year after year at the start of the new year.

Fitness goals must be part of our health journey. Being healthy and free from diseases and illnesses makes us truly alive. It makes us jump high to reach a new level of success as we start our year right.

The higher the jump, the lighter, the better.

Yes, the past years may have been out of control when unconscious dietary lifestyle hit us badly, eating junk foods of no nutritional value making us ill and could kill us.

Then work and stress eating or overeating may have led to out of shape. Our physique suddenly has changed as we add years to life when metabolism hits low.

That's terrible, but we can regain control.

Through the years, it's a challenge on how to be in shape. To be fit takes a lot of discipline and commitment. It's never easy, but doable and not impossible. I used to make it with minimal discomfort but had achieved the desired goal.

I can, and I will!

This year 2021, is about getting back to what we used to be. To be fit and healthy; to be well, and not ill; to feel better, and not bitter; to see things brightly, and not ugly.

Getting sick is expensive and deadly. I can't afford it, so I choose to be well and avoid getting ill.

Through the years, we have listened to various health teachings. From fitness and wellness gurus, medical experts and health trainers, and healers.

There's a great Master who has greatly influenced my belief about achieving balanced health and the esoteric causes of diseases, now revealed to humanity.

Balanced life strategies focusing on health and wellness are what I have learned from a Master of life, Master Del Pe, since 2011.

I'm grateful to have known and be mentored by a modern Sage and an international life coach who's visionary in leadership and has a deep love for humanity and the world.

After decades of world travel and working with individuals, families, governments, groups, and companies in more than 100 countries, the Philippines is truly blessed to have Master Del Pe come back and settle in his hometown.

Master Del Pe's new Shangri-La is beautiful and located in the beautiful highlands of Cervantes, Ilocos Sur, in Northern Philippines.

His MDP Village is a wellness and healing center hub in the North and is gaining recognition among health enthusiasts from the Philippines and other parts of the world.

Master Del Pe had hosted an international convention at the MDP village where attendees get a perspective about higher consciousness and mastering life ahead of its time.

MDP village is also a spiritual sanctuary, an escape from the hustle and bustle of city life, and in regaining life to have peace of mind daily.

I've attended and listened to Master Del Pe's interviews from various social media like Facebook and Youtube, and his insights and expertise is mindblowing.

If one day you might want to visit him at the MDP Village or meet him in Metro Manila, you may follow and contact him on his social media accounts below.

I've learned a lot from Master Del Pe. He's a master in life and the one who can help us live the best life we deserve.

A Weekend Stroll at Quezon Memorial Circle

There's a breathing space in the center of the largest city of Metro Manila lies the monument in honor of former President Manuel Quezon.

This kind of environment is all we need to take a break and have a weekend leisure walk at Quezon Memorial Circle. It's believed to be the last lungs of Quezon city with the protected 27-hectare green oval park.

The 66-meter shrine has three tall Pylons. That's a center of attraction in the busy elliptical road where six major lanes meet. It has three angels on the top that symbolizes the three biggest Philippine Island group -- Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.

I like it when you can find green space in a large metropolis where people can visit for leisure, and Quezon Memorial Circle is one of the best places for fitness, shopping, museum tour, and food trip.

The remains of former Philippine President Manuel Quezon are inside the monument with his wife, Aurora. He's one of the best and dignified statesmen the Philippines ever had, making his life worth remembering.

What's good about Quezon Memorial Circle is the many activities that visitors can do. I've seen many fitness groups doing exercises like jogging, biking, dancing, and even just sitting on benches or a simple walk exploring different areas of interest.

This place is also best for people who are into collecting various ornamental plants. There are so many business stalls that sell different varieties of plants and flowers. It makes the place greener and cooler that makes it an ideal outdoor park.

During this pandemic, indoor and outdoor gardening became a hobby of many people in the metropolitan area. It became part of their health and wellness goals to go green and relieve stress surrounded by beautiful plants and flowers.

A leisure walk in a park brings invigorating energy from the greeneries and the active people. We would want to achieve balance in our living. Though life in the metropolis can be exhausting, we need to take a deep breath and have a youthful glow. And so we could share that lighter energy and vibrant glow with others as well.

Quezon Memorial Circle has a lot to offer, and since the 1950s, it underwent several transformations and the newest attractions.

We need more green parks in major cities all over the Philippines, and Quezon Memorial Circle is one of the best parks to be replicated or become a source of inspiration.

A green living is Godly Living.

Reaching for Cloud 9 in Antipolo

There's a beautiful 360-degree view in Antipolo. The city's highest point is really on cloud-nine, heaven in the city.

As I waited for the sunset, I am so thankful for the chance to see the panoramic view of Antipolo City and the magnificent skyline of Metro Manila.

The City of Antipolo, Province of Rizal, is blessed for its higher elevation and proximity from the Philippine National Capital Region, Metro Manila. In less than an hour's drive, you'll feel its cool and windy climate.

I like the city vibe of Antipolo. It's a clean and peaceful city. The people are friendly and very welcoming to the tourists. No doubt that it's a favorite weekend getaway for people from Metro Manila and neighboring provinces.

The Cloud 9 hotel and restaurant is my favorite spot in Antipolo. I had a sumptuous lunch after a short day trip around the city. The wide-open restaurant in the sky serves delicious Filipino dishes and is a favorite destination among food lovers, including returning Filipinos in the country for a vacation. Filipinos' best cuisine is very well-served to the diners, and the Cloud 9 restaurant never fails to give a lasting impression.

The best 360-degree view is on the hanging bridge and reaching the tower on the other side. It's a great view and with a romantic appeal to families, lovers, and friends.

The place isn't just for a romantic couple. It also attracts families, groups of friends, and even solo travelers. Everyone enjoys the scenery. Wait until dusk, and you'll be captivated by the purple hues of the sky; even more romantic if someone is on the side.

The Cloud 9 is reminiscent of "The peak" in Hong Kong, but the former is Filipino pride. I enjoyed it. I love it, and I'll surely come back for more.

Life is good and bestowed with Divine grace. As we reached the peak, we paused for a while, closed our eyes, held on with breathing, and breathed out. And as we open our eyes, we see the magic happens in cloud nine.

Invigorating Walk at the Lodi Garden

I
t's a great feeling when ancient architectural wonders are well-preserved and restored. Those structures were built to last and tell a tale as old as time.

In New Delhi, India, I was happy to visit a 15th-century tomb. It's a combination of Hindu and Islamic architecture. That was a decade ago on my first visit to India in 2011.

Ancient tombs in India are grand and built with love. It says something about their character, their status, and their power in society.

Lodi Garden is named after Sikander Lodi. He was an Afghan Sultan of Delhi Sultanate from the Sayyid dynasty that ruled places in Northern India, like Punjab, including modern-day Pakistan. Together with three other rulers, their remains are on the tomb of this beautiful garden.

I have a deep admiration for Hindu and Islamic architectures as they reveal certain charm and character. Its artistic expressions are evident in the detailed carvings and designs.

That was a soulful moment when I strolled in the garden, touch the surfaces of well-preserved structures, and feel the vibe back in time.

Lodi garden is an ideal place for a morning walk and exercise. It's a solemn place to unwind, sit on the grass, do some yoga and meditation. The surrounding is cool and clean and has a beautiful landscape and greeneries. It's truly relaxing and revitalizing.

In our modern-day world and with advancements in architecture and technology, people will appreciate and value history and culture. It's valuable and priceless. It deserves recognition and respect. And so I did.

I had meaningful moments at the Lodi garden. The history and culture are what fascinates me. That's how I appreciate a place of such a very high historical value. It leaves a lasting memory and a pleasant reminisce.

Nazareno 2021: A Timeless Devotion

This time of the year, millions of Filipino devotees celebrate the Feast of the Black Nazarene.

This black image of the 17th century Jesus of Nazareth has been a source of inspiration and undying faith of the Filipinos.

What makes the Holy image of the Black Nazarene so special is the miracles that transpired for the believers. When a faithful would sincerely pray, then it's always granted -- even the most impossible.

My first ever Nazareno experience was about eight years ago. I've celebrated the morning mass and prayed for blessings to happen in my life.

That was a pleasant experience to be with the flocks of the faithful. And so, I've celebrated again in 2016 and 2017. Since I was in Manila for those years, I made sure not to miss it.

One of the most memorable experiences was the Nazareno 2019 when I've personally witnessed the Traslacion. That was a day-long procession, but I had captured a glimpse of a holy hour in the vicinity of Binondo Chinatown.

How's this year's celebration possible amidst the threat of the pandemic? And when there's a threat of the new variant that's possibly been around undetected.

Filipinos would always defy the odds in observance of centuries-old religious tradition and expression of faith. Even with the health threat, devotees are unstoppable.

The good thing about this year's celebration is the strict observance of the health protocols. Devotees are practicing physical distancing and wear a mask for their protection.

This year, the Traslacion is declared canceled. However, the Minor Basilica of the Black Nazarene will celebrate the Holy mass.

Compared to the previous year's experience, the Nazareno 2021 was something new we haven't seen before. It was more orderly and quiet. This personal devotion is a celebration in the absence of chaos.

Millions of devotees may haven't participated in this year's Feast Day of the Nazarene in Quiapo, but it's still possible in the comfort of our homes through online streaming.

The message was clear, and the hope of a better life is still my heart's desire. For this year, better health and protection would be of topmost priority.

And beyond personal intentions, it's about the health, safety, and security of all. We're hoping that this pandemic would come to an end. May it be the end of sufferings and a fresh start of the year and decade.

Nazareno 2021 is about hoping for a brighter year in uncertain times. Our timeless devotion will always be in our hearts, and that our unwavering faith would bring new hope, a renewed life, and a new beginning.

New Year 2021: A New Hope

The year 2020 brought a lot of pain and suffering into our lives. It seems like the darkest era of our times. Something unexpected, but we've learned to accept and embrace.

If this is the preview of a new decade '20s, we could predict the future; that uncertainty is now part of our daily living.

Things change instantaneously. It's like a blink of an eye, and our fate would change.

The year 2020 perhaps was the saddest and unpredictable moment we've experienced. It ruined our hopes and dreams and redirected our compass to a crossroads. That was the end of the year 2020. Finally, we've all welcomed the new year 2021 with our greatest hopes ever. That after the long agony, we can blur the sad memories from the deepest of our consciousness.

That was the end of the year 2020. Finally, we've all welcomed the new year 2021 with our greatest hopes ever. That after the long agony, we can blur the sad memories from the deepest of our consciousness.

A new world

Whatever earth changes we've been experiencing, one thing I'm sure of is that this is part of the Divine plan. We're not in control; hence we let things happen and make things happen in our human capacity.

If the world has to change this way, then there's a greater force that can move us and direct our path -- either to follow and have faith or to step back and have doubts.

So, in this new world order, some would-be victims of a sad reality, while others would be victorious survivors.

New opportunities

We've seen people who have lost a living; have missed some chances and opportunities for the past year.

Some may have struggled a lot in business, career, and life. It also caused our fears, frustrations, and anger. It made us express all kinds of emotions. It had caused inconvenience and a downgrade on the quality of living at some point.

This year 2021, is about new opportunities that await us. The missed one is just a moment of pause; to stop for a while; to re-calibrate, and be ready to stand up again.

This year 2021, is about an opportunity to be together as a family once again. To be reunited and to recall how we've started it all.

When we're somewhat lost, our family would always be there to guide and light our path. They're there on our knocked down and cheer us on our way up.

Opportunities don't only knock once. We see opportunities everywhere. And if there seems none, we create it ourselves, and we even create opportunities for others.

A new dream

Yes, we've awakened on a deep slumber. It was somehow a nightmare!

This year, we're hoping for a better night's sleep. We're hoping for a better dream. And so, as we wake up, we'll turn that dream into a reality.

And when we dream, we extend it to the special people in our lives. They are the source of our inspirations, our happiness, and a reason for living. Family is love, and family is forever. That's one thing I know for sure.

A night dream or a daydream, it's both a pleasant experience of hoping for brighter days ahead.

A new hope

We're hopeful that no matter how life seems uncertain, we still believe that something good will happen.

Our hope will always keep us alive, to make us believe that miracles do happen every day. From the time we wake up until the time we go to sleep.

A new hope is there to give us the energy required to live actively. A new hope gives us many chances of trying again and never giving up but hoping when things seem to be falling.

This year 2021, is about hope in all aspects of living. We hope for the best things to happen. We hope for the best wishes to come, and we hope for the best life ahead.
